Thursday Night Photography: The Wedge at Newport Beach
#Photography #Surfing #Surf #TheWedge Hurricane Marie sent some huge waves to The Wedge at #NewportBeach this week. My coworker, Joey, said the waves would be around 25ft so we decided to take a bike ride from Costa Mesa to Newport Beach. I don't think I've ever done so many miles on a bike and I feel like I got shot in the legs (probably because I used my wife's bike). An estimated 3000+ people were at The Wedge and I wasn't able to get close enough for sharper shots, but I like what I got. Hopefully google will make some auto awesome GIFs so I don't have to do it, otherwise I'll make some later and update the post. Surfs Up #OrangeCounty!Thursday, August 21, 2014
Thursday Night Photography: Don Rogelio's Mexican Restaurant
#Photography #LosAngeles #Kickstarter One of my good friends was in town and we decided to use Yelp to find a good Mexican food restaurant in Los Angeles. Steph came across a restaurant called Don Rogelio's that had some great reviews. We decided to give it a try and it lived up to the reviews. The owner even gave us a big hug before we left. The motherly feeling was a nice touch. I was also a fan of the decorations and took some pictures. With that being said, if you're ever in the #LA area near #LAX and you're up for Mexican food, check out Don Rogelio's. When driving on the street, slow down or you may miss it. Steph told the owner putting up a white fence would help people find it.

Thursday Night Photography: Irvine Metrolink Station
#Photography #Irvine #Metrolink I stopped by the Irvine Metrolink Station to take some photos today. I used my OM-D E-M1 with a 12-50mm f/3.5-6.3 and 45mm f/1.8 lens. The only downside to today's session was losing a lens cap. One of the nice things was taking up close photos of people and noticing that none of them seemed to care. This will come in handy for future street photos. Thursday Night Photography! #trains #amtrakAlso! A friend (Michael Santiago - http://www.msantiagophotos.com/) needs help with an important documentary he's working on. He's started a kickstarter campaign to document the lives of Black Farmers in California. Check out his site to see some of the other work he has done (He's the real deal like Evander Holyfield). Please visit his link and any donation is kindly appreciated! #kickstarter

Thursday Night Photography: Clouds
#Photography While driving on the 241 Toll Road, I noticed the sun hiding in the clouds and decided to pull over and take some pictures with my OM-D E-M1. The first 7 photos in this post were taken with a 75-300mm lens. I decided to go through my iphoto library and pick out some other photos of clouds. Enjoy and feel free to leave comments or suggestions! #cloudsMonday, August 4, 2014
