Thursday Night Photography: Black and White III

#blackandwhite #LongBeach #photography It's Thursday Night and since I posted some new photos during the weekend (http://tinyurl.com/PatAtDanaPoint), I decided to check my library for something I haven't used yet. I wish I kept the original RAW files for editing in black and white, but the JPEGs didn't come out too bad. Here are some photos I took during a company lunch last year at Gladstone's in Long Beach, California while working at Money Mailer. All of the photos were converted to black and white, except for 3 which I liked in color. These were taken with my Olympus Pen E-P3 and my 12-50mm lens. I wish I knew more about the manual settings at the time these were taken but I shouldn't have an excuse anymore for future photos!

We hiked up the side of a mountain and travelled from Zhenbei Tower to Tower 6 of the Mutianyu Great Wall. My sinus decided this was the day it wouldn't work and the pollen made it hard to breathe for the first 1.5 hours up the mountain side. I thought the group was going to kill me for stopping a lot to blow my nose and breathe but they were kind enough to wait.  Once we got to the top of Zhenbei, the rest of the walk was brutal. I never want to see steps again. I took the first few pics with my Sony then the rest were taken with my iPhone. The entire hike lasted around 5 hours and we ended it with a toboggan ride at Tower 6. Morrissey with special guest Interpol at FivePoint Amphitheatre

#Morrissey #InterpolNYC #FivePoint #Irvine Interpol opened for Morrissey last night at the FivePoint Amphitheatre in Irvine, CA. This was the first time visiting the venue and the best part was getting free VIP parking because I had Mercury Insurance. I've seen Morrissey live in the past, but I haven't seen Interpol before and their set was great. Here are some pics and videos I took on my iPhone X because my iPhone 11 Max Pro is still backordered :( Hopefully I can test it at another event and post the results. Marshmello at the Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort

#photography #marshmello #niikoandswae #djlema #newportbeach #newportdunes #sonya7rii #iphone6splus #music I got to see Marshmello, Niko and Swae, and Lema DJ at the Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort in Newport Beach on July 1, 2017. I didn't know Newport had festivals like this but it was fun. I shot almost everything on my Sony A7Rii with only a 24-240mm lens and recorded the videos on my iPhone 6S plus. Despite the overcast, the weather was great. I shot around 400+ pictures but trimmed everything down to 50ish pics and 4 videos. Enjoy!
