Atlanta Georgia Day 1

Image
#Photography #Ignite #Atlanta #Georgia #Zaxby #Windgate This week, I'm visiting ATL for the #Microsoft Ignite conference. I'm out here from Sunday to Friday. I left John Wayne at 9am and landed here at 420pm.  I requested a window seat from Delta but got the middle row so I didn't get good aerial shots.  Coming from California, I'd say everything definitely feels slower out here. I also rented a Mini Cooper and surprisingly fit into it. Bucket seats FTW! The freeway speed limit is 55mph compared to 65mph in California. Also I noticed people take their time to speak while we tend to speak much faster. For a Sunday, I ran into a lot of traffic. It's also hot and humid! Here are some of the pics I took with my iPhone 6s Plus. Also a friend recommended I try a place called Zaxby's and one happened to be 5 minutes away.

Prisma and Artisto iOS Apps

Image
#Photography #PrismaAI #Artisto @PrismaAI is a free app that lets you add fancy filters to pictures on your iOS device. @ArtistoApp is the video version. I took some pictures from my blog and added filters to them. Artisto cuts the videos to 8-12 seconds so I used a short clip from my Irvine Time Lapse. Both are good tools to have on your phone!

Porto's Bakery and Cafe in Downey

Image
#Photography #iphoneography #Portos #Downey I got a chance to visit @Portos in Downey and the place was packed. You know a place is doing well when the line is out the door. Here are some shots I took with my iPhone 6S plus while waiting.

Flume at the Shrine Expo

Image
#photography #Flume #Flumeworldtour #FlumeMusic #iphoneography #ShrineLA #DTLA Here are some pictures and videos from Flume performing at the Shrine Expo on August 10. Everything was taken with my iPhone 6S plus since I didn't bring my Olympus camera to the event. It's been a while since I've been to an event, but his set was on fire! If you're viewing from a desktop, you may have to pause the streaming music to listen to the youtube videos. Enjoy!

The Evolving City of Los Angeles

#Photography #LA #LosAngeles #StaplesCenter #E32016 #E3 Here are some pictures I took near the Staples Center on Pico. Some of the places that I took pictures of in 2014 have been replaced by future luxury apartments. Those older pics can be seen at  http://patrickabandy.blogspot.com/2014/06/pico-street.html . Also, if you missed my pictures from E3 2016, they can be seen at  http://patrickabandy.blogspot.com/2016/06/e3-gaming-expo-2016.html . Feel free to check out the rest of the blog and listen to some music while you do!

E3 Gaming Expo 2016

Image
#photography #E3 #E32016 Here are some pictures that I took at the E3 Expo in the LA Convention Center on June 16 2016. VR was still the big topic this year and Microsoft also showed the new slim model. The lines were also much longer than previous years and since we came on a Thursday, we didn't realize that there was an online check-in system for some demos. I'm a huge RPG and action game fan although I can never finish any games so I'm looking forward to the titles from #Atlus and #SquareEnix. Persona 5 and Final Fantasy XV were the favorites for me. This new blog layout also looks nicer and cleaner than the previous one. I'll follow up this posts with some pics I took from LA next week. The area around Staples Center has changed over the last 5-6 years and you'll see a lot of new developments.

Low Light Photos with my iPhone 6S Plus

Image
#photography #iphone6splus #iphoneography #nightlife I'm still trying to find some nice (and free) camera apps for the iPhone 6S plus, but the default camera app isn't bad. My Olympus E-M1 is still a great camera, but I have my phone with me at all times. On top of that, when I got this phone I went with the 64gb. Apple should make that their default size because my old 16gb was always full and I spent too much time managing pictures and my collection of memes. In any case, here are some handheld nighttime or low light photos from my phone. Enjoy! If you know any good apps (paid or free), please share them in the comment section. Also if you missed my post from Downtown LA, don't forget to check it out at  http://bit.ly/1SrwnmN
