Photos From My China Trip

#photography #China #Chinatravel #city #sonyA7rii #iPhone #ChinaHighlights #travel #travelphotography #Beijing #travelblogger #architecture #ForbiddenCity It only took a year (it was really a year), but here are the rest of my pics from my China trip last April with my friend Bill. Work has been so busy that I never had time to view what I took. There were over 900+ photos taken but here are the 200 or so that made the cut... Also if you missed my previous China posts from last year here are the links: The Great Wall: http://bit.ly/AbandyGreatWall Saturday Riding in China:  http://bit.ly/AbandyCHN

Marshmello at the Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort

Image
#photography #marshmello #niikoandswae #djlema #newportbeach #newportdunes #sonya7rii #iphone6splus #music I got to see Marshmello, Niko and Swae, and Lema DJ at the Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort in Newport Beach on July 1, 2017. I didn't know Newport had festivals like this but it was fun. I shot almost everything on my Sony A7Rii with only a 24-240mm lens and recorded the videos on my iPhone 6S plus. Despite the overcast, the weather was great. I shot around 400+ pictures but trimmed everything down to 50ish pics and 4 videos. Enjoy!

Low Light Photos with my iPhone 6S Plus

Image
#photography #iphone6splus #iphoneography #nightlife I'm still trying to find some nice (and free) camera apps for the iPhone 6S plus, but the default camera app isn't bad. My Olympus E-M1 is still a great camera, but I have my phone with me at all times. On top of that, when I got this phone I went with the 64gb. Apple should make that their default size because my old 16gb was always full and I spent too much time managing pictures and my collection of memes. In any case, here are some handheld nighttime or low light photos from my phone. Enjoy! If you know any good apps (paid or free), please share them in the comment section. Downtown Los Angeles

#DTLA #Bonaventure #iphone6splus #microsoft #iphoneography Earlier in the week I got a chance to visit the Microsoft Cloud Roadshow which was hosted at the Westin Bonaventure. Here are some pics I took from my iPhone and uploaded to the blogger app. I have a feeling the pics will come out to the full size since I didn't use photoshop to reduce the size.

West Hollywood iPhoneography

Image
#photography #WeHo #iphoneography #TheChurchKey #SweetLadyJane I took a trip out to West Hollywood to visit my buddy, Spiro, and spend a day/night out there. I'm not sure how anyone can drive from Orange County to Hollywood, but I'll let you know that drive was a PIA. I didn't want to lug around my Olympus camera and look like a tourists, so I decided to use my iphone 5 for the entire trip. I visited a bakery called Sweet Lady Jane which has a killer velvet cake. I'll just put it out there that if you're serving cake at my funeral, velvet better be one of them. There was also some fancy sidewalk art near the bakery. I also paid a visit to The Church Key for brunch and wasn't disappointed. Per my buddy Spiro, the brioche donuts are where it's at. Sadly, I overate and didn't actually get to tastes them. To top off the weekend, I had my first experience using Uber and I'll just say it was very "interesting". One driver was cool but felt like a...

Snowy hills and mountains from Orange County California

Image
#photography #iphoneography #California #snow The one time I don't bring my camera to work happens to be the time when the mountains and hills are covered in snow. Luckily I had my iPhone 5 (or 7S for anyone who has seen my iphone email signature). The first picture is from the hills close to my house in Rancho Santa Margarita and the rest of the pictures are from Lake Mission Viejo. This isn't a common thing for anyone not familiar with "Sunny" Southern California :) BTW, Happy New Year to everyone!

Thursday Night Photography: iPhone Pictures

Image
#Photography #iPhone5 #iphoneography I've been reading about iphoneography and noticed that some people were getting very nice shots from their iphones. I need to do some more research on the right apps to get, but here are some quick photos I took from my iPhone 5. I used the basic camera app then imported the pictures into photoshop and did some post processing with the Perfectly Clear filter. With the time changing occurring this weekend, it will be much harder to get cloud photos during the week because it will be dark by 5PM. Winter is coming!!!
