Sunday Photography in San Diego

Image
#blackandwhitephotography #blackandwhite #SanDiego #sunday #photography #Olympus Here are some photos I took of people at Balboa Park in San Diego. I started out with pictures of buildings and plants, but started noticing many people on their cell phones. This changed my focus to capturing people enjoying a Sunday afternoon.

A Dog named Camo

Image
#blackandwhite #photography #beagle #GetOlympus I don't own a dog because I'm one of those unlucky people who is allergic to some animals. While my son was playing his baseball game, this nice gentleman was letting the children play with his dog. When the dog got animated, I heard him say "Camo" and he calmed down. I'm going to assume that was the name he was given because he listened. Here are some pictures I took with my Olympus OM-D E-M1 and converted to black and white. Beagles are calm dogs and I think this one knew I was taking his pictures because he stopped moving for each one.

Thursday Night Photography: Black and White III

Image
#blackandwhite #LongBeach #photography It's Thursday Night and since I posted some new photos during the weekend ( http://tinyurl.com/PatAtDanaPoint ), I decided to check my library for something I haven't used yet. I wish I kept the original RAW files for editing in black and white, but the JPEGs didn't come out too bad. Here are some photos I took during a company lunch last year at Gladstone's in Long Beach, California while working at Money Mailer. All of the photos were converted to black and white, except for 3 which I liked in color. These were taken with my Olympus Pen E-P3 and my 12-50mm lens. I wish I knew more about the manual settings at the time these were taken but I shouldn't have an excuse anymore for future photos!

#Photography I didn't get a chance to shoot photos due to a busy work schedule so here are some photos from my library converted to black and white. Thursday Night Photography!

Thursday Night Photography: Black and White

Image
It's Thursday night and rather than taking new pictures, I decided to convert some of my old and recent photos to black and white (except for one which I decided to try the colored filter option). Hahaha I did not asks for someone's permission so some pictures may disappear if she says take them down. Also, one of my coworkers taught me some lessons on image/focus stacking and depth of field so hopefully I can produce some nice pictures for everyone to see!
